What's Happening:

The Wren's Nest hosted the library's 8th annual fundraiser on August 28th, 2011. A huge thank you to Jamie and Chris Fry and their staff for a wonderful afternoon. Because of the rain it was held inside which contributed to a very "cozy" afternoon enjoyed by all. Many people remarked they were  looking forward to our 9th!

We would also like to thank Citizens and Northern Bank, First Citizens Bank and Northwest Savings Bank for helping to make our event possible.

On August 3 the library's Summer Reading Program came to a close with our "indoor picnic". We had approximately 50 + children & adults who enjoyed pizza donated by Pizza hut and delicious cake donated by Gramma's kitchen. The children all received new books and those who turned in their reading logs received prizes. A total of 1385 books were read by the participants and approximately 58,999 minutes were read. Total attendance this year was 552.

On September 12 at 7 pm. the Library & the Friends of  Library will be sponsoring a program based on the Roll of Tioga County in the Civil War. The presenter for this program is Scott Gitchell. This program is free and open to the public. Questions and light refreshments will follow.
